I’m officially a lender! Today I made my first loan to a woman in Cambodia using kiva.org. Kiva is an innovative micro-financing non-profit that aggregates micro-loans to entrepreneurs in developing countries by leveraging technology and social networking. I love this idea. I get to follow her progress as she buys flowers and bananas to sell at the local market. If nothing else, I was able to make a donation and connect to someone around the world.
