I love kiva.org

What a wonderful way to start my week! Back in August, I made my first kiva loan to Mrs. Sopath Mao in Cambodia. Less than one year later, and she’s paid back the loan! So I made another loan, to a Women’s Group in Uganda.  Microlending is the most exciting and powerful way we, as individual lenders, can empower entrepreneurs in developing countries and help them break the poverty cycle.

    Hey Halle

I saw your twitter re: Kiva. I happened to sign up for Kiva a few months ago based on your comment when you were on JTV.

I decided to loan on behalf of my twitter followers, so was able to loan to 9 different people. Kinda rewarding to help another person’s business grow.

I wish Kiva would implement the group feature for loans. At the time I wanted to create a Twitter Kiva Group and grow the group with other twitterers, but without the Kiva Group feature, that wouldn’t work out.

Here is my Kiva profile http://www.kiva.org/lender/spaceguy1twittergroup

    Take care!
